The suction-vent valve ensures the proper operation of the pipeline by allowing air to escape during operating conditions, and air to enter and exit when filling and emptying the pipeline. It works automatically on the principle of ball buoyancy and the difference between the pressure in the pipeline and the atmospheric pressure. It consists of two chambers. The chamber with a small opening serves for venting small amounts of air, and the chamber with a large opening serves for the entry and exit of large amounts of air. It is installed at the highest breaking points of the pipeline.
